In the ODI Women`s World Cup 2025 match against Team India, South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt has won the toss and elected to bowl first at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
India has made one change as Amanjot Kaur comes in the place of Renuka Thakur, whereas Tumi Sekhukhune has replaced Masabata Klaas.
So far in the campaign, the “Women in Blue” led by Harmanpreet Kaur have won both the matches and are placed in the third position on the points table with a net run rate (NRR) of +1.515 and four points. The side will look to continue on their winning momentum in the competition.
On the other hand, South Africa has won one out of the two matches they have played so far in the tournament. The Proteas will look to register their second win in the ongoing marquee event and get an early edge in the event. Currently, with a net run rate (NRR) of -1.402 and two points, they are in the fifth position of the points table.
Both teams will enter the clash on the back of stunning victories in their previous matches. South Africa secured a dominating victory by six wickets in their previous match against New Zealand.
India also crushed their arch-rivals, Pakistan, by 88 runs in the previous match of the tournament.
