Fans have had the opportunity to see the two legends share the screen multiple times. One such was when Salman danced and even jumped in during the song Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om to shake a leg with him. Farah Khan recently shared behind-the-scenes stories from the shoot.
Farah Khan reveals an anecdote about Dharmendra in Deewangi Deewangi
Salman was allegedly excited to see the moves of Dharmendra in the Deewangi Deewangi song. The actor excitedly jumped into the frame and danced along. During a conversation with the Indian Film and Television Directors` Association (IFTDA), renowned choreographer and the director of Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan, said, “There is a shot where Dharam ji is dancing, and Salman and others jump in. That wasn’t planned. They were standing behind the camera because they had waited for four hours in Shah Rukh’s van to watch Dharam ji’s shot. And while Dharam ji was dancing, they just jumped into the shot.”
Additionally, Salman Khan also loves and adores Dharmendra. Recently, as soon as he realised the veteran actor was being hospitalised, he rushed to check on his health. The Battle of Galwan actor shares a warm bond with the Deol family. The two have even worked together in the popular film Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Besides, Salman Khan also made special appearances in Deol’s Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se and Tell Me O Khuda.
Dharmendra discharged from hospital
Farah Khan`s comment comes at a time when Dharmendra is struggling with his health. He was recently got discharged from Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, is now in a stable condition and recovering well at home.
In an exclusive interaction with IANS, Dr. Rajiv Sharma from the hospital shared that the legendary star has gone home “fully satisfied” after receiving the required treatment. Sharing an update on the actor`s health, he stated, “Dharmendra ji has gone from the hospital with full satisfaction. His family has taken him home. Everything has been arranged for him.”
“He is in a stable condition. I request the public not to spread the false news but instead pray for his recovery so that he can celebrate his next birthday with pride.”
Dr. Pratit Samdani added, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged at 7.30 am today. His recovery and treatment will continue at home.”
Sunny Deol`s PR team also released a statement shortly after Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital.” The statement read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family`s privacy during this time.”
Recently, after Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital and taken home, his cousin and filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa paid him a visit. Speaking briefly to the media gathered outside Dharmendra`s Juhu residence, Guddu shared that the actor was doing fine, adding that he couldn`t comment further as he wasn`t aware of many details.
