When Dharmendra called Salman his third child
Earlier, Dharmendra too had expressed similar affection for Salman. Some time ago, the veteran actor even called Salman his third son.
When the Sholay actor appeared on one of the seasons of Bigg Boss as a special guest, he said, “Salman is my son. I have three sons—all three are emotional, strong-willed, and straightforward.” In a chat with Bollywood Life back in 2015, Dharmendra was asked to pick a name for his biopic. “Salman Khan. I think he has a lot of characteristics which are very similar to mine. I think he will be able to portray me onscreen perfectly,” Dharmendra had said back then.
Salman Khan and Dharmendra worked together in the 1998 film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. Salman Khan was one of the first celebrities who rushed to the hospital on Monday night to meet the ailing Dharmendra. Other celebs such as Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, and Ameesha Patel were also spotted.
About Dharmendra’s health
Dharmendra, 89, left the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai early Wednesday morning, days after being admitted for tests. His treating doctor, Dr. Pratit Samdani, said the veteran star would continue recovery at home as decided by the family.
Earlier, Hema Malini and Esha Deol called out “false” media reports about Dharmendra`s death. Apart from them, several celebs like Karan Johar, Nikitin Dheer, Ameesha Patel and others have called out paparazzi for breaching their privacy.
Meanwhile, further details about Dharmendra`s health condition are still awaited.
