Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, who made his debut in Phool Aur Kaante (1991) with his memorable leg-split introduction on two bikes, has since been associated with high-risk stunts, following in the footsteps of his father, action director Veeru Devgn. Recently, when promoting De De Pyaar De 2, he recounted a terrifying skydiving event in which he witnessed a man die right in front of him.
R Madhavan revealed Ajay Devgn went for a daredevil skydiving stunt
In a candid interview with BookMyShow, Madhavan applauded Ajay`s courage, revealing that he once jumped out of a plane for a skydiving sequence with no prior experience. Devgn responded to this by recalling an instance from his training in the United States, saying, “As soon as I reached, I saw someone fall because his parachute didn’t open, and he died, right in front of me. And it was me next.”
Ajay further added, “Something similar happened with Leonardo DiCaprio, but his instructor jumped after him and saved his life. You will even find a message from him there that reads: `Thanks for saving my life.`”
On the work front, Ajay recently appeared in De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel to the 2019 film De De Pyaar De. Rakul Preet Singh and Jaaved Jaaferi reprised their roles, and the new cast includes R. Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Meezaan Jafri, and Ishita Dutta, among others.
Anshul Sharma directed De De Pyaar De 2, which was written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. Following its theatrical run, De De Pyaar De 2 is expected to be released on Netflix in January 2026. His upcoming release is set to be Drishyam 3 in 2026.

De De Pyaar De 2 opened with Rs 8.5–9.45 crore on Day 1 and rose to Rs 12.25 crore on Day 2, taking its two-day India total to around Rs 21 crore. Current estimates place the film’s lifetime India collection at roughly Rs 23.22 crore, with an overseas gross of around Rs 3.72 crore, bringing its worldwide total to approximately Rs 31.36 crore.
