As the ensemble cast of Dhurandhar continues to bask in the success of the film, it is more special for 20-year-old Sara Arjun, who made her debut as the leading lady with the film. Amid its roaring success, she took to social media to pen a long and emotional note for her co-star Ranveer Singh. In return, Ranveer had the most adorable response.
Sara Arjun pens a long note for Ranveer Singh
Sharing a few behind-the-scenes photos with Ranveer Singh on Instagram, Sara wrote, “Dearest Ranveer, My words will never do justice to what I feel, but I’ll try. They say a true actor is almost superhuman: limitless, fearless, fierce, and you are exactly that. While the world sees your brilliance, I have had the privilege of seeing your empathy and generosity every single day. You never led with seniority, you led with sincerity.”
Heaping praises on her co-star, she wrote, “The most beautiful thing about you is your willingness to be that person for everyone, the one who lifts, who holds, who encourages, who protects, who brings light even on the hardest days. That is what an angel does. You are the rare kind who gets genuinely happy seeing others happy. You celebrated my big days with a joy that often felt even bigger than mine.”
She added, “What I will always hold closest is how you showed up for me. You paid attention, you were present, and you chose care without being asked. You offered support that went far beyond the work. Through you, I saw that true success walks hand in hand with humility.”
Sara concluded the note by praising Ranveer`s performance in Dhurandhar, saying, “You have set the bar impossibly high. I just know you are always going to be my favourite co-actor. It is an honour to be debuting with you.”
Ranveer Singh reacts
Ranveer was quick to react to his co-star`s kind words. He commented, “Bus kar, pagli .. rulaegi ! (teary eyed and a string of heart emojis) enjoy this moment! The world is yours! Nothing can stop you! You are blessed! (Om and evil eye emojis) when you win, I win!” (sic)
Earlier, during the press conference at the Dhurandhar trailer launch event, Ranveer Singh had praised Sara, saying, “Sara, I can’t believe we are here on this stage. What a special moment for you. I’m honoured to be part of it, and I’m lucky to be part of such a special moment for you. Sara, here is a prodigy. Aapko pata chalega, kuchh log hote hain naa, matlab bachpan se hi aapko pata hai ki, they are just like a child prodigy. Like ek baar Dakota Fanning aayi thi Hollywood mein. I think, Sara, it`s a testament to the fact that you beat thousands of other candidates to land this part.”
“And it’s as if you were born to do this. Aise lagta hai yeh 50 film karke aayi hain. She’s so precocious as a person, as a performer. You are one of the finest actors that I have shared the screen with. You make me look better, and my heartfelt gratitude for that. I just can’t believe that it’s your first film. Obviously, you know, somebody whom I love and respect a lot, Mr Mani Ratnam sir, you have acted in his films as well, and you have shown your potential, and this is where the world will see you, on the big stage. I’m reall,y really happy and I’m very, very proud of you. Thank you, Sara,” he added.
