The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, announced on Saturday that the ultimate decision regarding the national team’s participation in the T20 World Cup will rest with the government, especially after Bangladesh’s exit from the tournament. During a press conference, Naqvi emphasized that this matter will be discussed with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif upon his return from abroad. “The choice of whether we compete in the T20 World Cup or not lies with the government. Our Prime Minister is currently out of the country, but once he returns, we will seek his counsel. The government’s decision will be final and binding; if they opt not to participate, the ICC may extend an invitation to another team,” Naqvi stated.
