Following Team India’s remarkable T20 World Cup 2026 victory, star spinner Kuldeep Yadav is on the verge of embarking on a new journey in his personal life. Reports indicate that he is set to marry his fiancée, Vanshika, on March 14, with the wedding likely taking place in the picturesque setting of Mussoorie.
Previously, Kuldeep and Vanshika got engaged in a private ceremony in Lucknow last June, attended solely by family members. The wedding news comes hot on the heels of Team India’s triumphant performance in the global tournament, where they secured a 96-run victory over New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Reflecting on their success, Kuldeep expressed his joy, emphasizing that winning is always the goal when participating in ICC events. “This victory means a lot to us. We’ve been training hard, and this is what cricket is all about. Every time we take part in an ICC tournament, our aim is to lift the trophy. I extend my congratulations to the team and sincerely thank our fans for their unwavering support,” he stated.
He also took a moment to commend teammate Sanju Samson, highlighting his exceptional performance and dedication. “I’m thrilled for Sanju. We’ve shared our cricketing journey since the Under-12s, and I’m so pleased to see him finally receiving the recognition he deserves,” the 31-year-old cricketer added.
In the T20 World Cup 2026 final, India set an imposing target by scoring 256 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. Key contributions included half-centuries from Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan, with Samson leading the charge with 89 runs off 46 balls. Abhishek and Ishan followed suit, scoring 52 and 54 runs, respectively. Shivam Dube also added a quick-fire 26 runs.
In response, New Zealand was bowled out for 159 runs in just 19 overs, with Jasprit Bumrah shining with figures of four wickets for 15 runs. Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Abhishek each contributed with one wicket, sealing a remarkable win for India.
