As the excitement builds for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, kicking off this Saturday, Gujarat Titans’ wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler has showered praise on fellow cricketer Glenn Phillips. He described Phillips as a versatile athlete and an exceptional batsman. “I’m neither a selector nor the captain, so those discussions are for them. Glenn is a remarkable player, having consistently excelled in T20 cricket. He’s incredibly dynamic, a fantastic batter, and one of the finest fielders globally,” Buttler remarked. He emphasized that Phillips provides both the coach and captain with numerous options. Given the league’s stipulation of fielding only four overseas players, Buttler noted that it often comes down to seizing the opportunity.
