During IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s all-rounder Krunal Pandya noted a significant shift in the team’s atmosphere, describing it as much calmer this season. He attributed this change to several players having a clearer understanding of their roles within the squad. “This year, the vibe is much more serene. Last season, it was all about getting to know each other as it was a new team. Now, many players are aware of their individual roles and each other’s strengths and weaknesses,” he explained.

Krunal also shared his approach to managing pressure during high-stakes situations. “When I find myself in critical moments, I remind myself that there’s a reason I’m here, and perhaps these pivotal occasions are meant for me. While I do feel the pressure, I focus on remaining calm and present to execute what’s needed,” he elaborated.

He further praised the legendary Virat Kohli, stating that he would have made his mark as one of the greats in any era. “Virat embodies a relentless hunger and passion for the game; it’s evident in his desire for victory. Regardless of the era he played in, he would still be among the greats. He’s not in competition with anyone else,” the 35-year-old added.

Following their opening match win in the tournament, RCB is set to face off against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 5 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
