IPL 2025 Retention Live Updates: Multiple media reports have claimed that SunRisers Hyderabad have retained wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen for Rs 23 crore. If this news turns out to be true, Klaasen would script history by becoming the costliest player ever retained in IPL history. He will break the record of Virat Kohli, who is currently the costliest retained player with figure of Rs 18 crore ahead of IPL 2018 auction. As per another report, Kolkata Knight Riders are likely to part ways with Andre Russell, a star all-rounder that has been with them for the past 10 seasons of Indian Premier League. Russell made his IPL debut playing for KKR back in 2014. He has remained part of all the IPL editions since then, barring 2017. The D Day is finally here as the retentions for the upcoming edition of the IPL will be announced. 5 PM is the deadline for all the franchises to submit their list of retentions.
