The opening match of IPL 2026 is set to feature the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), going head-to-head against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Earlier, Santosh Menon, Secretary of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), confirmed that the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will host five home games for RCB in IPL 2026, alongside a playoff match and the final showdown of the tournament. The remaining two home games for Bengaluru will take place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
