Following the success of her film The Kerala Story 2, actress Aditi Bhatia made a heartfelt pilgrimage to the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, expressing her gratitude to Lord Shiva. Describing her spiritual visit as ‘surreal’, Aditi reflected on the emotional journey of the past weeks. ‘The outpouring of love and reactions from the audience has left me feeling truly grateful. I felt an undeniable urge to come here, to bow my head and give thanks,’ she shared.
Being in this sacred space reminded her of the divine grace that guides their craft. ‘As actors, we pour our hearts into our stories, but the way audiences embrace them is a force beyond our control. Being here today fills me with a profound sense of peace and magic — a feeling that’s hard to articulate, yet palpable the moment you enter Mahakal’s presence.’
Aditi also revealed that her prayers were for strength, gratitude, and guidance for her future endeavors. ‘I am immensely thankful for the past few weeks and for everyone who supported the film and my work. Today, I wanted to dedicate it all at Mahadev’s feet. The experience is nothing short of magical. Har Har Mahadev.’
Recently, Aditi took to social media to express her appreciation for the entire cast and crew of The Kerala Story 2, stating, ‘A film is the culmination of countless unseen hands working passionately. I am grateful for this amazing crew who made every moment on set unforgettable. I learned so much and will cherish this journey forever. Thank you all.’
In related news, director Sudipto Sen criticized the sequel, claiming it was based on unreliable sources. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah responded, dismissing Sen’s comments as sour grapes. ‘To be honest, I’ve kept quiet about this, but I had to address it. He had proposed a script for The Kerala Story 2 that was far from good, which is why I chose to work with Kamakhya Narayan Singh instead.’
Shah further added, ‘He has no knowledge of the extensive research we conducted, as he wasn’t involved in the process. I don’t usually engage in these discussions, but when someone attacks my film, I feel compelled to respond. The film is out now, and I stand by the quality of our work.’
