Rajpal Yadav, the talented actor known for his upcoming film ‘Bhooth Bangla,’ recently addressed the controversy surrounding an alleged incident of humiliation at a recent award ceremony. He clarified that what transpired was all in good fun as part of the event’s entertainment.

On Tuesday, Rajpal took to Instagram to share a heartfelt video message. In it, he urged his followers not to harbor any negativity towards the show’s hosts, Saurabh Dwivedi and Zakir Khan, who made a light-hearted remark about him during the ceremony.

In Hindi, he expressed, “I was lucky to attend the Screen Awards where I met so many industry colleagues. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with dance and performances. During the event, Saurabh, Zakir, and I discussed the state of the world, touching upon serious topics like wars and their impact on the economy. We even crafted a skit to reflect these themes.”

He continued, “In cinema, sometimes the intent of a scene doesn’t resonate with the audience as intended. Saurabh and Zakir are like younger brothers to me, always treating me with respect. They are dear to my heart. Saurabh made the entire audience applaud my work, and I am grateful.”

Rajpal passionately added, “Please refrain from criticizing Saurabh. Hurting him would hurt me too. I cherish Saurabh, Zakir, and all of you. I owe my journey to your support. Thank you!”

In a show of solidarity, Salman Khan also came to Rajpal’s defense shortly after, posting a supportive note on X regarding the incident. Salman emphasized Rajpal’s extensive career and the value he brings to the industry, reminding everyone that comments made in the heat of the moment shouldn’t overshadow years of dedication and hard work. He encouraged Rajpal to continue working from the heart, regardless of external circumstances.
