Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s latest release, *Dhurandhar: The Revenge,* is making waves at the box office, having crossed the impressive 1000 crore mark by its third Sunday. This milestone makes it the fastest Indian film to achieve this feat, following the success of *Pushpa 2 (2024).* However, a segment of the audience has labeled the film as propaganda, prompting actor and politician Ravi Kishan to speak out.

In his remarks, Ravi Kishan expressed strong support for *Dhurandhar,* calling it unfortunate that some are branding it as propaganda. He encouraged viewers to back the film, emphasizing its role in revitalizing the industry and presenting factual narratives through cinematic excellence.

Ravi stated, “To label it as propaganda is quite unjust! Many South Indian actors have openly supported it; we should all join in. There’s a new trend of slapping the propaganda label on films – it’s like people have caught a new pigeon!”

The actor, who recently appeared in *Maamla Legal Hai* Season 2, drew comparisons between this franchise and the iconic 1975 film *Sholay.* He explained, “The writers draw inspiration from real-life news and events, and the creative team brings these stories to life on screen. It’s heartening to see audiences returning to theaters. The industry was in dire straits, especially the Bhojpuri sector, which was nearly at a standstill! This film has been a boon, allowing countless individuals to earn a living through cinema.”

Ravi further stressed the importance of cinema reflecting societal realities, advocating for a reevaluation of historical narratives through thorough research. “We need to restore the truths that have been omitted from our history!” he urged.

When asked if he wished to be part of *Dhurandhar 2,* Ravi shared, “I believe someone is penning a *Dhurandhar* role for me. What’s meant for me will eventually come; I just wasn’t destined to be in this one. Similarly, I’m not in my favorite film, *Gangs of Wasseypur,* so I don’t feel any FOMO! However, I would love to collaborate with Aditya (Dhar) or Mr. (Sanjay Leela) Bhansali, just as I recently worked with Karan Johar in *Naagzilla.* No regrets here! If I had been in *Dhurandhar,* I would have enjoyed playing any role, but I have a soft spot for Ranveer Singh’s character, Hazma!”

He attributed the film’s success to its “incredible background music, exceptional editing, and the vibrant energy brought by the actors, all under a director who invested an astonishing Rs 260 crores.”

Looking ahead, Ravi Kishan has a busy slate with upcoming projects including *Mirzapur,* *Nagzilla,* *Bhai Behen,* *Peddi* alongside Ram Charan, and the TDS series.
