In the IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals (DC), the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) struggled significantly, managing to score just 80 runs while losing five wickets within 10 overs at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground in Lucknow.

After being put in to bat, LSG’s captain Rishabh Pant opened the innings alongside Mitchell Marsh. Unfortunately, Pant’s decision to take the crease didn’t last long, as he fell victim to an unexpected dismissal. On the final delivery of Mukesh Kumar’s over, Pant ventured out of his crease but failed to complete a run; the ball deflected off the bowler’s hand and struck the stumps, leading to his run out. Pant’s innings concluded at just seven runs off nine balls, which included one boundary.

Following his exit, Aiden Markram stepped in but was swiftly sent back to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs off eight balls, featuring a boundary and a six. Meanwhile, Ayush Badoni couldn’t make an impact either, as he was dismissed for a duck after facing three deliveries.

The batting collapse continued as explosive batsman Nicholas Pooran was dismissed for eight runs off eight balls, including a single boundary. Mitchell Marsh managed to salvage some pride with a score of 35 runs off 28 deliveries, punctuated by two boundaries and three sixes before his dismissal.

Currently, Abdul Samad and M-Choudhary remain at the crease. Samad has faced just one ball with no runs to his name, while Choudhary has made his mark with two boundaries, totaling nine runs off three deliveries.

In terms of wicket-takers for Delhi, Lungi Ngidi, Axar Patel, T. Natarajan, and Kuldeep Yadav each claimed one wicket. Mukesh Kumar is still in pursuit of his first wicket, having bowled three overs for 17 runs.

Ngidi faced some aggression, conceding 18 runs in two overs, while Patel allowed 13 runs in the same time frame. Natarajan and Kuldeep bowled one over each, giving away two and 22 runs, respectively. With all four teams securing victories on their home grounds thus far, it will be intriguing to see if the Capitals can disrupt this trend tonight.
