In an exciting showdown at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss, opting for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to bowl first against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). RCB comes into this match with a victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad, while CSK is still in search of their inaugural win this season after losing their opening two matches.

After the toss, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad expressed his decision to bowl first, noting the high-scoring potential of the pitch. He also provided an update on MS Dhoni’s recovery from injury, indicating that the legendary player would rejoin the team soon.

“We will bowl first. The pitch looks promising for runs, and we aim to restrict their scoring as much as possible. MS is on the mend; it takes time, but he will be back soon. Our last game was disappointing, yet our batting showed improvement in the following match. The team is feeling confident, and we’re fielding the same XI,” Gaikwad stated.

On the other hand, RCB’s captain Rajat Patidar mentioned that he also intended to bowl first but welcomed the opportunity to bat on a fresh wicket. He emphasized the team’s strong performance in their last match and their ambition to keep the winning streak alive.

“We were looking to bowl first, but given the hard pitch conditions, we’re pleased to bat. The team played exceptionally well in our last outing, and everyone is confident and clear in their roles. We’re sticking with the same lineup,” Patidar commented.

RCB has triumphed in their last three encounters against CSK, and they will be eager to secure consecutive victories this season.
