Actor Govinda’s relationship with Sunita Ahuja has sparked much conversation lately. Last year, rumors of their impending divorce circulated, but the couple later dismissed these claims. While whispers of Govinda dating a younger actress have emerged, his history of romantic linkups dates back to the vibrant 90s. Notably, he and Neelam formed a beloved pair during that era, and the actor has openly expressed his affection for her.
Govinda recently spoke about his past feelings for Neelam in a conversation with Siddharth Kanna. When asked about their rumored affair, he candidly admitted to being attracted to the ‘doll-like’ Neelam. He remarked, “Dekhiye hum sab jitne youngsters, jo gaon type ka hote hain, unn sabhi ke liye goriyan boht achi lagti hain (All of us from the village find fair women very appealing). This attraction for someone who is different happens. She was unique and such a wonderful person. It felt like she was a doll.”
Delving deeper into his admiration for Neelam, Govinda revealed he was a fan of hers long before they worked together. “She had that doll-like charm, and I thought, wow. I was watching her films, cheering her on, never imagining I would get the chance to act alongside her. She became my heroine, and I was in disbelief,” he shared.
When addressing the speculations about his feelings for Neelam, he clarified, “Back then, affairs weren’t as common as they are now. We used to create quite a stir… It happened, and it felt real.”
